At the end of July 2021 – after the “C-break” – the “International Crescendo Summer Institute” could finally take place again. To be honest, I couldn’t believe it until two weeks before the start.

I really like this mix of music, conversations, rehearsals, meeting friends, drinking wine, listening to a lot of concerts and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Tokaj, Hungary.

Here are a few “takeaways”.

Orchestra rehearsal: Mozart’s Prague Symphony….
Is there anything more beautiful to draw???
The first violin…
Doublebass double.
Quite different sounds in the baroque chamber orchestra.
A “gamba da viola” sounds so wonderfully soft.
Real trumpet players…
… don’t play baroque music only!
